Dr Bloch's undergraduate degree is from Princeton University, and he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, DC. He subsequently completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, where he also completed a Fellowship in hypertension and vascular medicine. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr Bloch has been designated a Clinical Hypertension Specialist by the American Society of Hypertension, a Clinical Lipid Specialist by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, and a Vascular Medicine Specialist by the American Board of Vascular Medicine.
Dr. Bloch recently served as Vice President of the Board of the American Society of Hypertension (ASH) and is a Member at Large of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association’s Council on Hypertension. He is the immediate past-president of the Board for the American Heart Association Northern Nevada Chapter and serves as a member of the Board of the Pacific Lipid Association. He is Fellow in the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Hypertension, the National Lipid Association, and the Society of Vascular Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Bloch serves as Medical Director of Vascular Medicine and Anticoagulation Services at the Renown Medical Center Institute for Heart and Vascular Health. Dr. Bloch has served as a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials, most recently focused in the field of device therapy for hypertension.
