Patients with cardiometabolic risk factors, including diabetes mellitus and hypertriglyceridemia, who may also have cardiovascular disease are at risk of experiencing cardiovascular events. This session will discuss the appropriate use of statins, ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibitors, SGLT-2 inhibitors, GLP-1 agonists, DAPT and anticoagulation, anti-inflammatory medications, and other agents which may help patients further reduce their risk in primary and secondary prevention.
