Amanda Wilson, MD earned her medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her psychiatry residency at Boston University Medical Center. Her fellowship in consultation liaison psychiatry was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital. She began the Vanderbilt fellowship for consultation liaison psychiatry in 2008. She is currently focusing on emergency psychiatry and has joint appointments in Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine. Her areas of interest include emergency psychiatry, catatonia, factitious disorder, somatic symptom and related disorders, and the difficult patient.
