Dr Albertini is a psychiatrist specializing in evaluation and treatment of mental illness in medically ill patients. She has a special focus in the comprehensive care of women and their families during fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss and perimenopause/menopausal.
Dr Albertini completed her undergraduate education at Princeton University and her medical training at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. After four years of residency training in psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, Dr Albertini did an additional postgraduate fellowship in consult-liaison psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She served as assistant professor of psychiatry at Mount Sinai for 5 years where she took an active role in education of medical students, residents and fellows. In addition to her inpatient duties, she started a consultation service embedded in the outpatient obstetrics clinic for the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She currently remains on adjunct faculty while also serving as a Supervising Psychiatrist at The Motherhood Center of NYC where she does evaluations and treatment of patients and runs their residency training program.
