Dr. Andrew McCoy, an Acting Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine (EM) at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, completed medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and simultaneously completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Trials at the Case Western Reserve University. He completed his EM residency at the University of Buffalo and then went on serve as the inaugural EMS fellow at the University of Washington. After fellowship, Dr. McCoy joined the UW EM faculty, working clinically in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center and as a core faculty member for the EMS fellowship program. Dr. McCoy was appointed medical director for American Medical Response (AMR) Puget Sound Operations in 2016 and also has served as the medical director for Shoreline Medic One since 2018. In addition, Dr. McCoy is a faculty member for the Resuscitation Academy and Associate Medical Director of the Seattle Fire Department Medic One program.
