Instructional Course - Requires Course Pass or Individual Course Ticket, Additional Registration Required
It is very important to do the first operation for hypospadias right, since reoperations have a higher risk for additional complications. This course uses an evidence-based approach to develop a modern algorithm for distal and proximal hypospadias repair, emphasizing optimal performance of key technical steps to achieve the best results. Topics discussed will include straightening penile curvature, urethroplasty/glansplasty, and aesthetic skin closure with the goal of creating a normal appearing and functioning penis, regardless of the original extent of hypospadias. The course is designed for experienced hypospadias surgeons, as well as current and future pediatric urology fellows.
