Dr. M. Raghavendran, Senior Consultant Urologist and Renal Transplant Surgeon at Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysore has been awarded the best Reviewer award for the Indian Journal Urology for the year 2017. This award has been started recently and he had got it within the second year of eligibility due to the extraordinary knowledge he had shown as commented by Prof. Rajeev Kumar, himself an extraordinary individual. He is a member of the editorial comittee of the Indian Journal of Urology. He is one of the few prestigious Professors (around thirty) in the APOLLO group throughout India. He has been recently appointed as Reviewer for BMJ case reports. He has numerous publications in Indian and International Journals. He is a recipient of the CKP Menon prize pape which is awarded to the best original research article for an Indian student for the year 2003. The subesequent work has since been published in the prestigious Journal of Urology ( Prediction of fragility of urinary calculi by dual x-ray absorptiometry. A. Mandhani, M. His works on Undescended Testis and Renal squmaous cell carcinoma have been cited often. His works on the cytopathology in cases of infertility (with the blessings of Prof. Aneesh Srivastav) have been reported in prestigious journals like CYTOPATHOLOGY and Urologia Internationalis. His reports on rare complications associated with mycophenolate mofetil therapy has been published in the prestigious journal TRANSPLANTATION. He has a fascination for infectious diseases like Tuberculosis which is common in India. He has one paper accepted for presentation at Orlando conference and has one publication of the same disease in the prestigious GOLD JOURNAL OF UROLOGY.
