Christopher J.D. Wallis, MD, PhD is a Urology Resident and Epidemiologist at the University of Toronto. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of British Columbia and his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Epidemiology & Health Care Research from the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on leveraging a variety of epidemiologic techniques to understand and improve care for patients with urologic conditions, with a focus on urologic oncology.
He received numerous international, national and local awards including from the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society of Urologic Oncology, the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation (CSCI), and the AUA Northeast Section.
He has over 90 publications including high-impact journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), The BMJ, JAMA Oncology, JAMA Internal Medicine, The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, The Journal of the National Cancer Institute (JNCI) and European Urology. He is a consulting editor at European Urology, an invited editorialist at major journals including The BMJ, European Urology, Journal of Urology, and Nature Reviews Urology, and acts as a peer reviewer for many general medicine and urology journals.
