Emily G. Kurtz, M.D. is a cardiologist and internist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she is the Medical Director for Executive Wellness and Concierge Medicine and an Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Kurtz received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine, fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine, and Master of Science in Clinical Investigation were completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Preventive Cardiology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and in Cardiovascular Imaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She attained ABIM board certification in Internal Medicine in 2003 and Cardiovascular Medicine in 2007. From 2007 to 2016, she practiced cardiology and was a member of the academic faculty at Vanderbilt, where she was the Director of Preventive Cardiology for Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Kurtz’s clinical practice interests include cardiovascular disease prevention and management, internal medicine and preventive wellness, and noninvasive imaging.
