Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) can control and prevent urolithiasis of various etiologies. Proper medical management includes nutrition counseling specific to the patient's individual risk factors. This course will review for urologists and allied health professionals the different stone-forming mechanisms as they pertain to dietary management. Specifically, methods for prevention of different stone types by nutritional counseling will be presented.
