Carmen Bergom, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She treats breast cancer patients at the MCW Cancer Center, and she also has a translational research laboratory focusing on using innovative genetic models to improve the therapeutic ratio radiation therapy by identifying targets to enhance tumor radiosensitivity and minimize normal tissue toxicities.

Dr. Scott Bratman is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, where he has been on faculty since 2014. Dr. Bratman also serves as Clinician-Scientist and Staff Radiation Oncologist at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Dr. Bratman was trained at Princeton University, Columbia University Medical Center, and Stanford Cancer Institute. Starting with his postdoctoral studies at Stanford, Dr. Bratman has co-developed cutting-edge liquid biopsy technologies for detection and monitoring of cancer in the bloodstream. This work is revolutionizing cancer care by allowing non-invasive diagnosis and novel precision medicine strategies. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Bratman is at the front lines of translating liquid biopsies into improved health outcomes. His research program includes projects on head and neck cancer, cervix cancer, and leukemia. The Bratman Lab is also developing genomic tools for personalized use of radiotherapy.
