This will be a case based session that uses a case to highlight data on 4 key topics in lung cancer management.
1. the role of RT in the management of mutated lung cancer: Oligoprogression and brain metastasis
2. The evolving role of consolidative RT and PCI in extensive stage small cell lung cancer
3. Metastatic lung cancer in the SABR-COMET era
4. Immunotherapy and radiation therapy for lung cancer

Candice Johnstone, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She treats breast and thoracic malignacies primarily and is passionate about hypofractionated palliative radiation therapy. She has edited a textbook "Handbook of Palliative Radiation Therapy" and serves as an expert on Chartrounds. She serves on the executive committee of the Society for Palliative Radiation Oncology ( and is a member of the Board of Directors of both the American Association of Women in Radiology (AAWR) and the Wisconsin Radiological Society (WRS). She serves as an alternate councilor for the ACR and is an elected member of the ACR's College Nominating Committee. She also is actively involved in ASCO's Palliative and Supprotive Care Symposium and RSNA. She serves on the committee.
