The Practical Big Data Workshop (PBDW) series brings together physicians, physicists, information scientists, manufactures and others who are leading in practical development and use of big data analytics resource systems to improve patient care. Through a combination of presentations, roundtable discussions and debate, the attendees develop and publish consensus based recommendations for standardizations, clinical practice guidelines and approaches to analytics aimed at helping other researchers and clinics to bring Big Data into their clinics. This presentation will highlight key recommendations from the 2017 and 2018 meetings in 5 areas.

2.Physician Process Challenges: Standardizations that assure needed data is available.
3.Integrating the voice of the patient into Big Data: Pan Canadian approach to Standardization of Patient Reported Outcomes

Biography:
Professor Robert C. Miller, MD, MBA, FASTRO is an academic radiation oncologist practicing at Mayo Clinic, where he has been continuously employed for the last twenty-four years. Robert is also Editor-In-Chief of ASTRO's Advances in Radiation Oncology. He received his M.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1993 and completed residency at Mayo Clinic in 1998. He is currently Vice Chair of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center Practice Executive Committee, representing radiation oncology nationally across the Mayo Enterprise. He received an MBA from Oxford University's Said Business School in 2013, matriculating at Hertford College in 2011. He can followed on Twitter at @RadOncOA.
