Biography:
Zuleyha Akgun, MD, is a Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology. She serves as the medical doctor for Radiation Oncology in the Memorial Sisli Hospital, Istanbul. She earned her medical degree from Trakya University’s Faculty of Medicine, Edirne, Turkey. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Marmara University in 2008. In 2011, she completed a compulsory duty in Radiation Oncology at the Erzurum Bolge EAH, Erzurum, Turkey. She was a faculty member at the Bezmialem Vakif University, Istanbul, where she led the clinical and research program and promoted to Assistant Professor in 2014. Her current clinical practice and research interests include the treatment and management of brain tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery, combining novel targeted therapies with radiation, and stereotactic spine and body radiation therapy.
