Chris Colaw is currently leading the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) organization for Advanced Quality Technologies, also known as "QualTech." In this capacity he is responsible for research and implementation of technology enabled quality methods that result in improved assurance of conformity with greater affordability and safety, most notably through advancements in drone-based applications which rely on machine learning. In previous roles Chris served the organization in an acting role as the Director of Quality Engineering representing a multi-site 110+ person team of quality and software quality professionals, and also as a leader of global rate readiness strategies for the F-35 Program that inspired confidence with numerous international customers and domestic agencies, such as the Government Accountability Office. Chris graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with multiple degrees including Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Master of Science in Management. Additionally Chris serves as the Chairman of the SMU Mechanical Engineering Department's Industrial Advisory Board.
