Dr. Thomas Brown is a Scientist in Exponent’s Statistical and Date Sciences practice. Dr. Brown provides consulting services related to statistics, data analysis and data visualization and he has experience with spatial data, environmental data and measurement system data. He also has experience in experimental design, acceptance sampling, data mining, time-series analysis and statistical modeling.
Dr. Brown is highly proficient with statistical computing programs including R, JMP, Matlab, and SPSS, and also has experience with SAS, C, and Java.
Before joining Exponent, Dr. Brown attended the University of Michigan where he served as a graduate student consultant at the center for statistical consultation and research. His thesis research is on the analysis of spatial data in a Gaussian framework.
