Gena Major has over 20 years of experience in Total Quality Management, including tenures with manufacturing giants General Electric and General Motors, and eight years with the Georgia State Road & Tollway Authority as Director of Continuous Improvement. She has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University. Additionally, she is a certified Statistical Engineering Master, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Ms. Major currently serves as the Director of Quality Assurance for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (better known as MARTA). In this role, she is responsible for directing and monitoring all QA concerns in activities involving Rail, Bus, and Mobility systems. This focus includes educating the Authority on the importance of establishing effective quality assurance programs including a Business Intelligence platform to aid in data driven process improvements and root cause analyses.
Ms. Major has been a member of ASQ since 2008.
