Richard F. Eng is Co-Department Head of Applied Software Engineering at The MITRE Corporation. He is a multidisciplinary engineer/scientist applying his data science, reliability engineering, and quality engineering skills to deliver software projects. Richard was the principal investigator for a research effort to apply machine learning techniques to predict software project outcomes. Richard is an adjunct professor in the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Monmouth University where he teaches graduate courses on software engineering, information systems architecture, software requirements engineering, data analytics, and data mining. Richard earned a bachelor’s in chemistry and a master’s in bioengineering from NYU (Polytechnic). He earned his MBA in international business from Georgetown University and a master’s in data analytics from University of Maryland University College. Richard is a member of the IEEE and ACS and a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He is an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified Software Quality Engineer, and Certified Quality Engineer. Richard is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, and SAFeAgilist.
