Mike has over 20 years of experience in leadership, program and project management, continuous improvement (CI), problem solving, team building, coaching, and mentoring teams. He is certified as both a Project Management Professional (PMP) and ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt.
Mike is a Program Manager managing a portfolio of programs with multiple component projects on the Process Improvement & Execution team for Farm Credit Mid-America. He further leads the strategy and deployment of CI principles and practices throughout the association. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor teaching the graduate level Project Management course in the MBA program at Indiana University Southeast (IUS), and an Instructor of Project Management for the University of Louisville Professional Development Certificate Program.
Prior to joining Farm Credit he worked in various project management and quality roles in two different businesses of General Electric (Energy and Appliances), Trane Air Conditioning, and the defense contractor Raytheon. He is a 1991 graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute (Junior College) and a 1995 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He spent six years Active Duty as an Armor Officer. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace), and a Master of Science in Project Management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C
