Building and Sustaining a Culture of Quality
Sustainability—which has been defined as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”—is a topic that is already on the agenda for many if not most organizations. Major companies are embracing sustainability themselves and establishing it as one of the criteria for their supply chains. Sustainability is not just about environmentalism and your company’s carbon footprint; it also encompasses corporate social responsibility (CSR), eco-design, end-to-end product life cycle, and more. Sustainability in all of these senses ultimately ties back to business sustainability; it’s been shown to bring with it a broad range of benefits that improve both the top and bottom lines. This presentation will explore how sustainability is becoming more and more tied in with quality, and why it’s a natural evolution. Real-life examples and tips will be shared, along with a sustainability model.
