This session presents a successful application of project portfolio management at Nielsen Brazil as a key factor to change the game in terms of continuous improvement, more specifically when talking about Lean Six Sigma strategy. A total of 18 Green Belts were responsible to generate USD$2.3 million in hard savings (100 percent certification rate and four months on average for project development cycle time) leading projects that were absolutely connected to business strategy, guaranteeing buy-in from senior leadership. Belts received world-class training and now are change agents and responsible to keep the momentum coaching new belts on the following waves. At this point in Brazil there are more than 100 new belts working on different projects from different areas promoting the proper end-to-end vision, eliminating silos, and focusing on sustainable results. This is a true example of building and sustaining a culture of quality!
