Alison Brown, MS, PhD is a Health Policy Analyst and AAAS Science and Technology Fellow at NIH’s National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. She is a public health nutrition professional committed to social justice and addressing diet-related health disparities through research, advocacy, community empowerment, and systems change. Her past research explored immigrant health and dietary outcomes and current efforts at NIH centers on the social determinants of health and nutrition health disparities. Currently, she serves as the Chair-elect of the National Organization of Blacks in Dietetic and Nutrition. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health and Health Psychology.
