A native of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of the CSU - Levin School of Urban Affairs. Melissa has a Masters degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development. She has 20 years of urban planning and community development experience and is a former board member of the APA – Planning and the Black Community Division.
As business development director for a Cleveland community development corporation, she focused on tax credit, historic preservation and Main Street projects.Currently, she is a Senior Planner with M-NCPPC, working on TOD related master plan efforts and is focused on engaging diverse urban neighborhoods and communities.
