Alison Hirsch is Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture + Urbanism at USC. She is a landscape theorist, historian and designer whose recent book, City Choreographer: Lawrence Halprin and Public Participation in Urban Renewal America (University of Minnesota, 2014), provides an analysis of the creative process landscape architect Lawrence Halprin developed with his wife, dancer and choreographer Anna Halprin. Alison is co-editor of The Landscape Imagination (Princeton Architectural Press, 2014) and has published in Landscape Journal, Journal of Architectural Education, Studies in the History of Gardens and Design Landscapes.
