Deborah Weintraub is the Chief Deputy City Engineer for the Bureau of Engineering and the highest-ranking architect for the City of Los Angeles. Providing leadership for an architecture and engineering organization of over 800 people, Ms. Weintraub oversees projects totaling $3.6 billion, including community, cultural, transportation and recreational facilities, and bridges and parks. Ms. Weintraub has been integral to the Los Angeles River Revitalization effort and is currently leading the preliminary site design for the 41-acre River-adjacent Taylor Yard open-space project, as well as the new 12-acre park that will be built as part of the Sixth Street Viaduct.
