As Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space for the City of Boston, Chris is responsible for protecting air, water, climate, and land resources, and preserving and improving the integrity of Boston's architectural and historic resources. In this role, he also serves as Commissioner of Boston Parks and Recreation. A focus of the department is Parks First, a comprehensive initiative ensuring that Boston’s open spaces are among the nation’s best when it comes to issues of access and equity. Chris received his Master’s in Public Administration from Suffolk University and a BA in English/Theatre from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
