JAMES RICHARDS, FASLA, is a designer, artist, author and educator who conducts design drawing and urban sketching workshops around the world for university design programs, arts organizations and travel companies. His energetic line and wash sketches have been widely published, shown in solo and group exhibitions and seen on NBC Nightly News. He is an Advisory Board member, instructor and blog correspondent for the international non-profit Urban Sketchers. His Craftsy online sketching lessons have enrolled over 6K students and are part of The Great Courses series. His book, Freehand Drawing and Discovery, won a 2014 ASLA Honor Award.
