The ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine – A Live Workshop
Thursday, April 4, 2019 - 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (Separate Registration Required) The ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine is a practical, case-based workshop designed for providers new to the field of addiction medicine in settings such as primary care, emergency care, and psychiatry, who see patients at risk for or with substance use disorders (SUDs). Participants will learn more about addiction medicine and how to screen, recognize, treat, and/or refer patients with substance use disorders. This live workshop is designed to be energetic and interactive.

Thursday, April 4, 2019 - 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (Separate Registration Required) ASAM is offering a workshop on Motivational Interviewing for physicians and clinicians who work with patients with addiction. This workshop has short lectures and will mostly be interactive with attendees demonstrating and conducting Motivational Interviewing techniques.
