Professor of the Humanities and Director of the Humanities Research Center
Farès el-Dahdah is Professor of the Humanities and Director of the Humanities Research Center at Rice University. With support from the Getty Foundation’s “Keeping it Modern” program, el-Dahdah recently joined a UNESCO led research team charged with developing a "Conservation Management Plan" for Oscar Niemeyer's “International and Permanent Lebanon Fair” project in Tripoli. His current research focuses on developing geodatabases that describe cities and sites over time, as they existed and as they have come to be imagined.
