Anna Claudia is a Project Coordinator in her family-owned company, EDILTECNICA. After graduating in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, a course-work integrated with several internships, she carried out a two-years work experience in Australia with an Italian construction and restoration company. The aim of the project was to bring the best practices and Italian know-how and match them with the practical and sharp Australian approach. Subsequently she moved back to Italy where she decided to embrace the legacy of a third-generation enterprise, working in the family-owned company, in the field of restoration and conservation of architectural manufacts. There, she was challenged with two important building sites in the very center of Ravenna, an important byzantine city in Italy: a 17th century Palazzo named Guiccioli, whose reuse project will host two museums, one dedicated to Lord Byron, who actually lived in the Palazzo, and one to the Risorgimento Italiano and Garibaldi. The other site involves the building that has been hosting the city’s Public Market over the past century. This is a significant and relevant example of restoration of modern heritage in Italy. Anna Claudia keeps on pursuing her education by attending the Politecnico di Milano, where she is completing a master degree in Engeneering with a specialization in Real Estate Management. In the forthcoming period she will be dealing with the huge complexity of the reconstruction of the Heritage in the centre of Italy, where multiple earthquakes occurred in the past few years, seriously damaging the Italian building stock.
