Katarzyna Burzynska, MSc in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland (2015) and BA in Baltic Studies (Lithuanian, Latvian) from the University of Warsaw. Designer at the Renewal practice of Thornton Tomasetti Canada, focusing on historic preservation, building envelope, roofing, and waterproofing systems. She has received awards in preservation competitions and written over 30 publications on architecture for magazines in Poland. She has co-authored two papers presented in 2019 at the North American Masonry Conference and several of her papers have been accepted for upcoming conferences. She collaborates with Laka, a non-profit organization focused on social impact via architecture, and is the Co-Founder of Laka Perspectives vol. 1. She was a collaborating editor of the Laka Perspectives vol. 2 book.
