Master of Applied Sciences Civil Engineering Student
Larissa Ide is passionate about mitigating climate change effects and improving the built environment for humans and the planet. She is studying and researching how to optimize building performance of historic and traditional buildings while conserving the cultural values of these buildings using building performance simulation and parametric analysis as analytical tools. She makes use of existing documentation techniques to fully understand an historic site to create an accurate energy model and select appropriate retrofit options. She hopes that her research helps others conduct accurate energy retrofit analyses to achieve significant energy reductions in historic and existing buildings.
