Keith Niles is a project manager/superintendent with Quality Restorations, Inc., one of the largest concrete restoration companies in the Chicago area. He has supervised and participated in the restoration many concrete structures and also numerous architecturally significant structures. Some of the more notable structures Keith has worked on include the Louis Kahn’s Salk Institute, Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple, Bertrand Goldberg’s Marina Towers, John J. Earley’s Baha'i House of Worship, and the 63rd Street Beach House. Keith has been involved in numerous concrete restoration projects that have required matching of repair materials to the original finish, texture, and color. As a craftsman, Keith has performed numerous surface treatments to replicate as closely as possible the original surface. This has included matching various degrees at exposed aggregate, sculpting architectural details, and creating formwork to match original historic details.
Mr. Niles has been an instructor for several APT workshops focusing on various methods of surface finishing and concrete matching for architectural concrete repairs.
