The APIC Competency Model has been used to advance the IP profession since its release in 2012. Since then, the benefits of the Competency Model have evolved and it can be used in several different ways. This session will focus on real life adaptation of the newly updated 2019 Competency Model into IPC practice. Its intent is to advance the profession by outlining future-oriented competency domains that will grow the professional during the next 3-5 years of practice. The session will describe creative ways to develop tools to assist the IP professional and their leadership that can guide the professional development of the IP and advance the profession as a whole.
