Evolving regulatory standards for ambulatory settings requires a thorough education and complete understanding of the challenges that ASCs face in preparing for and maintaining regulatory certification. This session will cover the roles that IPC must play in order for as ASC to achieve their initial certification or maintain their standards between surveys.

Participants will learn the tools and resources they will need and will help IPs at ASCs to ensure a safe environment for their patients and staff. This session will discuss the challenges that may be faced throughout the certification process and will provide tips to overcome them.

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participant will be able to describe how to create a crosswalk of ambulatory regulatory standards.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to conduct a successful mock regulatory survey in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Upon completion, participant will be able to describe resources to utilize to maintain ambulatory regulatory standards between surveys.
