Bassel Molaeb (MPH, CIC, FAPIC) is the manager of the Infection Prevention Department at Al-Moosa Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Bassel accumulates 10 years of infection prevention (IP) experience and is an internationally recognized infection preventionists. He serves as member of the annual conference committee of APIC and was selected to be the 2019 International SHEA Ambassador. Bassel received several awards for his leadership roles in IP and presented extensively at local, national and international levels (APIC, IPAC Canada, GCCMID and ECCMID conferences). Bassel has a demonstrated record of experience and productive contributions to the IP field to enhance patient outcomes. His passion for training has supported institutions and other healthcare providers in surveillance, CIC certification, outbreak investigations, risk assessment, cleaning disinfection and sterilization. He received his Master of Public Health from the American University of Beirut and has been certified in infection prevention and control (CIC) since 2014.
