Sasha Gbedemah MSN, RN, CIC is the Program Manager for Infection Prevention at Texas Health Harris Methodist- Hurst-Euless-Bedford (HEB).
She comes equipped with a diverse nursing background including Surgical/Trauma/Medical ICU, Med-Surg, and Surgical Services and holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics. She has acquired international experience after completion of a preceptorship in Ghana, West Africa at Korle-Bu Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in the country.
Her role at Texas Health HEB includes overseeing Infection Prevention within the Inpatient Behavioral Health sector in addition to five other satellite behavioral health campuses.
Within her local APIC chapter she held position of conference chair for two consecutive years from 2017-2018. Honors include receiving the Star Award for the past two years for her outstanding work with APIC-DFW. She currently holds the position as Board Member within her local chapter and is excited to continue to grow in the field of Infection Prevention.
