Cathy Grayson, MSN, RN, CIC is the manager of the Infection Prevention department at Texas Health Plano. She has had the opportunity to work in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology for most of her 33 years as a nurse, spanning several states and healthcare facilities, to include both acute care and behavioral health populations. She has a passion for working with hospital personel to create an environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff.
Cathy received her BSN from the University of Maryland and her MSN from Benedictine University. She has been a member of APIC since 1991 and was honored to be an APIC Hero in 2012. She is an active member of her local APIC-DFW chapter (Dallas - Fort Worth), serving as President in 2015.
