Tara Millson, DNP, RN, CIC is an Infection Prevention Consultant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) Surveillance Branch (SB) where she is a member of the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Protocol and Validation Team. In this role, she serves as subject matter expert for the Ventilator Associated Event module and the Outpatient Procedure Component. She has over 15 years of clinical nursing experience including 4 years as an Infection Preventionist for a large health system in New York. She has presented at several professional and research conferences on various topics related to infection prevention, and she is a published author in the field.
