HAI Antibiotic Resistance Coordinator

Justine Celli, MSPH, is the Antibiotic Resistance Coordinator for the Health Care-Associated Infection (HAI) Program at the Florida Department of Health. She is responsible for promoting antibiotic stewardship in Florida health care facilities, analyzing antibiotic use and resistance data from the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) to target improvement activities, and coordinating a regional collaborative established to prevent the spread of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae. Prior to this role, Justine received her Masters of Science in Public Health in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University and her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her interest in HAIs was sparked when she worked as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with the NHSN Protocol and Training Team.
