Lydia Grimes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Greenville College in 2006, she then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at St. John's College of Nursing in 2007. In 2012 she earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree with an education and public health focus from Benedictine University. Lydia has experience in advanced cardiac care, oncology, and palliative care. In January of 2013, she began working as an Infection Preventionist at Barnes Jewish Hospital, department of Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology, her current areas of focus are high-level disinfection and sterilization, reprocessing in ambulatory care settings, and mentorship of new IPS. Lydia is Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control and serves as a member of the local APIC chapter in her area.
