Carole received a BSN from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 1989 and a Master’s degree in Nursing specializing in Community Health in 1995. She began her career in Infection Control at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO in 2000, is certified in Infection Control and is a Fellow of APIC. She is currently an Infection Prevention Consultant for the BJC Infection Prevention and Healthcare Epidemiology Consortium, and provides guidance and support for Infection Preventionists in areas of surveillance, NHSN, reducing infection rates and determining infection prevention best practices. Carole has authored many abstracts and has presented both oral and poster presentations at the APIC National Conferences.
