Jen graduated from Holy Family University in 2006 with a BSN. While there she was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.
Jen has worked in behavioral health for 13 years. She was medication and charge RN from 2006-2010. During that time, Jen worked with both adult patients and adolescent female patients. She was the unit manager of a chronically acute adult psychiatric unit from 2010-2012. Lastly, Jen began working as an infection preventionist in 2012. Her work includes facility wide surveillance with NHSN reporting, hand hygiene education, monitoring environment of care during rounds, low level disinfection of noncritical medical equipment as to limit the transmission of infection, antimicrobial stewardship, and Health Care Personnel vaccination. Jen belongs to the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). She also presented at the 2018 APIC Conference; Infection Prevention Strategies in the Behavioral Health Setting: Lessons Learned.
