Action Research: Mutual Interactive Strategies for Mentoring the Clinical Practice #1089 (0.50 CH)

Learn basic knowledge and strategies of "action research" and experience strategies based on "action research." Mutual interactive strategies included reflexive and responsive interactive communication skills to strengthen the clinical capabilities of nursing students. Responsive communication strategy means flipping nursing students as the key person in their learning process, encouraging them to reflex the process and response to adjusting the learning process. It contains "Plan Drawing of ORs" and "Challenge of gowning and gloving in one minute," both including the factor of “Time-Limited” to push students practicing and achieving the learning goal. Well-known hardware and moving lines of ORs are one of the first priorities when nursing students arrive perioperative nursing clinical curriculum. After guidance by the instructor, students deliver "Plan Drawing of OR" in 30 minutes to prove their recognitiion of the OR to be qualified as an assistant circulating nurse. Skillful surgical techniques are another top priority for students. Performing "Challenge of gowning and gloving in one minute" is the criteria for students qualified as an assistant scrub nurse. "Procedure diary" helps students to organize the procedure of surgeies, anatomy, and instruments. "Reflexive journaling" benefits students to build their confidence and refresh their thinking.
