Jorge A. Font, MPH, is Senior Vice President of Quality and Population Health Solutions for Precision for Value. His focus in on developing clear market strategies and alliances for healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and others to navigate and leverage opportunities in the changing US commercial insurance market. Jorge has nearly 30 years of experience in the commercial insurance and employee benefits industries, with expertise in the areas of medical/pharmacy benefits design, financing, and management. He is a former regional practice leader and principal for several major international employee benefits consulting firms where several of his employer/provider initiatives received national recognition.
Jorge is a contributing author in several publications, including PM360 (“Winners and Losers: Assessing the Impact of ACA,” September 2012), the Journal of Health & Productivity (May 2008), Managed Care Answer Book (Aspen Publishing, 1999), Risk Contracting and Capitation Answer Book (Aspen Publishing, 1999), Managing Integration and Operations: A Guide to Quality Health Care Systems (Thompson Publishing, 1995), Topics in Healthcare Financing (Aspen Publishing, 1993), and various other journals .
Jorge received his Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and Master of Public Health degree from the University of Tennessee. His administrative internship was served with the George Washington University Health Plan. He was elected in 2009 to serve as President of the Board of the Southwest Benefits Association, a 36+ year-old professional association with approximately 900 members.
