As pharmacy costs continue to rise, alternative forms of care management are being implemented in an attempt to contain costs. Specialty pharmacy groups within integrated delivery networks (IDNs) are implementing therapy management programs to improve both outcomes and health care costs. This session will describe the collaborative process, and results of measuring predictors of adherence, persistence and improved clinical outcomes in patients with immunological disorders being treated with biologics. The session will also highlight challenges and solutions in implementing studies in the highly regulated and demanding health care environment, addressing such issues as legal considerations, sharing confidential information, ownership of data and results, accessing critical data, and identifying internal champions.
Join this session to discover lessons learned and best practices managed care organizations and health systems can use to gain analytic insights, bridge knowledge gaps, apply results to practice, and advance health care.
