This session will highlight recommendations from a national survey of child welfare jurisdictions, expert interviews, and peer learning sessions for child welfare agencies and their partners to collect, report and use data to improve well-being outcomes for Expectant and Parenting Youth in Foster Care (EPY). Learn the process and highlights of best practices for child welfare jurisdiction to initiate or strengthen their data procedures to better support the needs of EPY and their children. At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
• Know the four recommendation to initiate and improve data collection and usage efforts;
• Understand how the implementation of recommendations in the toolkit could leverage services and supports for EPY through the Families First and Prevention Services Act;
• Call to actions for moving forward based on current data collection status of jurisdiction; and
• Know how and where to access tools and supports for planning and implementation of product recommendations.
