Family leaders play an especially critical role in activities related to quality improvement in the delivery of healthcare and related services and systems. The Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network (CoIIN) is a successful model used to test and drive improvements in MCH. Investing in family engagement at all levels of a CoIIN can have lasting impacts on systems that serve children and their families. This workshop will highlight experiences and lessons learned on family engagement at the community, state team and collaborative network levels within the CoIIN model from three CoIINs – Children with Medical Complexity, Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems, and Maternal and Child Environmental Health.
