This skills-building session will engage State Title V Directors and Federal program staff in an interactive discussion of the current Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services Block Grant Application/Annual Report Guidance and the ways in which the Block Grant works to strengthen families and the MCH workforce.
Specific topics to be discussed during this session include: (1) Overview of the reporting requirements and updates to the Title V Information System (TVIS) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Application/FY 2018 Annual Report; (2) Planning for the Calendar Year (CY) 2020 Needs Assessment; (3) Using evidence to advance State MCH priorities; (4) Review and discussion of updates to the National Survey of Children’s Health and its impact on the FY2020 Application/FY2018 Annual Report; and (6) Discussion of HRSA/HHS priorities and implications for the work of the MCH Block Grant.
