Workforce and Leadership Development
Skills Building Session
Family and community engagement is a priority in Title V programs. But how do we infuse these values into all of our MCH work? Join Washington State’s CYSHCN program to create a customizable template Business Case for family and community engagement. Washington’s business case recommended both internal efforts to increase MCH staff skills and competencies to partner with families and communities; and externally to utilize our public health role as a convener to provide training to our partners in outcome based program planning, using Results based Accountability with support from the MCH Workforce Development Center to increase the capacity of family led organizations to do the work of Title V. This session will incorporate the use of interactive methods and games to address a variety of adult learning styles, and participants will explore a number of tools to customize their own business case template.
